It started in San Francisco...
the way so many modern love stories do, matching on a dating app over something simple: an interest in “Hiking and Aventure.” Little did we know, our first date would be a preview of everything to come.

It was a Friday night. There was a heat wave and rolling blackouts. The city was half-lit in chaos, but none of that prevented us from meeting. Even then, we were unstoppable. We met for drinks in the Mission District, at Casanova Lounge. She was late, he bought her a beer. Instantly, the conversation was easy, the laughs were plentiful and the connection was effortless. Was it luck or was it fate? We’ll never know.
But we do remember this moment, just a few hours into our first date:

Us: (deep in conversation, getting to know each other)
Stranger: “You guys are such a cute couple!”
Us: “Oh, we just met.” lol
Stranger: “Really? Well, let me know when you get married.”

And the rest is history...
1. How do you balance each other out?
Laura likes to say, "He keeps me safe, I keep him wild."
Will likes to counter with, "I'm the calm to her chaos."

Will is grounded and practical; Laura is whimsical and idealistic. Will thrives on routine; Laura believes rules are made to be broken. Will has a superhuman memory; Laura has ADHD. We're different in so many ways, yet perfectly complementary. <3

2. Favorite activity to do together?
Anything food-related! We love cooking, going out to eat, and critiquing the contestants on cooking shows. We also love to spend quality time with our two pups, Iz and Kori.

3. Best travel mishap story?
That time we drove 10 hours to a remote cabin—no cell service, no neighbors, just us and the wilderness... only to realize at the front door that we’d forgotten the keys!!! Cue Will frantically hiking up a mountain to find a single bar of reception and call our family for the lockbox code. The good news, we got into the cabin just before sunset and didn't have to sleep in the car or fend off any bears. Ah, memories.

4. Who cooks better Mexican food?
We’re a team. Laura’s salsas are bright, fiery, and just enough kick to make you question your life choices. Will’s carnitas are slow-cooked until the meat falls apart in golden, deliciously marinated perfection. Together? We create taco magic. Leave us a 5-star Yelp review.

5. Who’s the designated spider-killer?
Laura once trapped a spider under a mug in her San Francisco apartment and waited for Will to drive 350 miles from LA to come get it.

6. Who’s more likely to cry during the wedding?
You’re invited to this event. You already know. She’s already crying.
